A teenager has been attacked by a shark during a lifeguard training camp in Florida.

The 14-year-old boy was bitten on the leg during the incident, which happened as he was practising water entries near a lifeguard tower in the town of Ponce Inlet.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening, officials said.

The attack on Monday came just days after two separate bite attacks in nearby New Smyrna Beach.
